Staff's hearing aids now use a later Bluetooth protocol ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) for Android & MFi (Made For iPhone) for iOS vs. the simpler Bluetooth protocol for basic microphone/headsets. Staff have concerns about hearing badge calls, especially evening/nights/weekends where staffing is minimal as this is a safety concern for staff. We considered Vina app on provide work phones but the VA currently does not allow APNS so VA staff do not have this option available.
