There are conflicting user needs here that we need to consider for future versions of smartbadge:

1. Research has been conducted and has concluded that if speech-to-text is the main user interface, a slide-out keyboard is not a necessary hardware feature

2. Adding a slide-out keyboard will increase size and weight of the wearable. This conflicts with one of the driving requirements for wearable design: creating something small and lightweight.
