We have an alarm notification from SpaceLabs to Vocera via Emergin. Emergin sends the text alarm to Vocera. However, the nurses cannot tell the alarm type or urgency because they all “kaplunk”. This is especially difficult for the nurses when they are wearing their gowns in isolation rooms. In addition, hearing the same "kaplunk" continuously is becoming white noise for the nurses, which causes additional risks to patient care.
