We would like to request that the VSTG gets the capability to send, via SIP signaling messages, the service state of the call especially in regards to hold and transfer scenarios in lieu of just stopping the RTP stream.

Many modern SIP environments employ RTP session monitoring as a mechanism to drop stale RTP conversations. Given the nature of human interaction to conduct a transfer, one cannot set a comprehensive timeout value, and the same goes for placing a call on hold. Utilizing SIP messaging to alert the session border controller of the call status, would allow for both RTP session and SIP signaling monitoring to cleanup any and all stale resources.
