Vocera currently uses TAP for integration from Rauland Responder 5.  TAP is an outdated protocol that uses old slow baud rates to transfer messages.  Since TAP is slow there is often a delay in messages often including code blue messages taking extra unnecessary time to pass from Rauland to vocera.  SIP would allow over 100 messages to pass from Rauland in a seccond as opposed to more extended times such as minutes.
