When CUCMSync loses a handful of pings to the CUCM Publisher, it silently loses its connection. Even if the CUCM Publisher reestablished connectivity, CUCMSync fails to auto reconnect. Manual intervention is required to reconnect CUCM Sync to the CUCM Publisher by restarting the Vocera Edge Engine. This effectively makes Vocera Edge not Highly Available. Having Vocera Edge being able to detect when CUCMSync loses connectivity, automatically reestablish the connection to the CUCM Publisher without manual intervention and being able to alert/report on connectivity failures is a crucial component to make Vocera Edge a High Availability product.
